Whoa, Mom's Talented!

That's right. Let me tell you about the amazing feat I accomplished this morning at the wonderment of my 8 year old. Our fridge and microwave are relatively close to each other. I was filling up a liquid measuring cup with water from the fridge for oatmeal, while simultaneously OPENING the microwave door. When Sierra saw that she said, "Whoa, Mom is talented!" Whoa. is. right. I am Mom and I CAN do two things at once. (Isn't that one of the definitions of Mom-multitasker?!?)

Our Trip to Zion National Park

Here are some pictures of our visit to Zion. It was really cool.
We went to St. George and had lunch (that is where the balloon came from), then went into the park. I haven't been to the park in the wintertime before. I really like it with snow.

I think this picture is hilarious because Sierra has a loose tooth, which is totoally sticking out over her lip. She lost it soon after. After we left the park we stopped and got some ice cream. All in all, it was a really great family day!

Say Cheeeese!

I haven't thought of anything to blog about lately. Well, there was our trip to Zion a week and a half ago, but I don't know how to get to those pictures. They were taken with a different camera,we'll post those sometime I hope. I'm avoiding bathing and putting my kids to bed and was looking through some of our photos and thought you might enjoy these.

Oakley always has a goofy grin for the camera.

Sierra with Wratchet, he doesn't smile very much.

Aunt Julie.

Izi.

Grandma Jan.

Sierra and I think Oakley has Chandler Disease when it comes to cameras.

Me.

Grandpa Jay.

Nose cheese. Come on, I know you're laughing a little :) It's cute on little kids, right?

Scott, I think this might be where Oakley gets it from.

Cousin Maddi, I KNOW she gets this from her dad! I'm surprised there isn't food stored in those cheeks!

Random

Shortly before Valentine's Day Sierra would spread her arms way out and say "I love you more than this much!". This was given to me a day or two before V-Day, it was the best presant!

Okay, Izi LOVES chocolate and a couple of her favorite things are to play in the pantry and feed the dog. So this day is probably one of her top 10 . BTW, she only ate the chocolate. ALL the bones were fed to Duke.

My girls are at the age where anything potty is HiLaRiOuS! They esp. like wearing the diaper helmets Sierra created.

Izi and Oakley are helping me make cookies. It's kinda a Sunday night tradition, when feasable. Oakley is the best, she can almost make a batch by herself!

Me. Wratchet. He likes to cuddle when someone will let him. I normally don't like it cuz of the hair that ends up on me, but I didn't know he was there, or the photographer. Recently Wratchet has been banned from the house and shunned for bad behavior. He pooped in the girls play nook and covered it up with Littlest Pet Shops, like they were kitty litter. It's kinda funny now, but not when I was cleaning it up.

I found it! (With a little help)

OK, found the video (Scott totally knew where it was-the video file of course), I didn't know we had a video file. I'm new to all this stuff. At least I know where all the stuff in the house is-you know, physical stuff, shoes, particular food items, movies, toys, keys, socks, all the REALLY important things. He's got the tech stuff covered, I've got the house covered, we're a good match.

Fun in the Snow

Here are Oakley (purple coat, of course) and Sierra (pink coat, of course) playing in the snow. You'll see that Duke LOVES to be in the snow and obviously, frisbee is a must.

Scott has a season pass at Brian Head. Being the awesome Dad he is, took the girls snowboarding. They each got their own day with him, followed with lunch at the place of their choice. I think Oak went to Panda and Sierra went to McD's. He took some stellar pics of the new board chicks, he said they did pretty good for it being their first time. If I can figure it out, I'll post the video of Oakley boarding down the hill. If you're dying to see it before then, it's on my Facebook under Videos. That's the only place I can find it. I found it on the SD card for FB, but I'm not sure if it got saved from there. So if you have a suggestion on how to transfer it, please give it to me. BTW, I tried cut and paste and blogland didn't like it. Or I could be doing it wrong, I hope that's it.

Caution. Graphic images. Some viewers may find this TOTALLY AWESOME!!!

This is Tiff just finishing her first half marathon (the Painter's in St. George, UT) in Jan, 2009.
Blood, sweat, but no tears. This is an image of Scott's handiwork stitching Tiff's knee up after she fell, turning it into hamburger while training 3 days prior to the half marathon. She still ran 4.5 miles on it that day before getting it stitched. It's nice having a doctor for a husband. Maybe the 12 years of patience through undergrad, med school and residency are worth not having to take a trip to the ER, you decide...
